New Signing Mark Myers
Since Mark was able to lift them up he has been playing records. Born at the start of the eighties, at a time when guitars were out and synthesizers were in, Mark quickly gained an interest in electronic music, secretly staying up late, headphones on, listening in awe to pirate radio stations playing the new wave of dance music that was flourishing in late eighties England. He figured out pretty quickly that what he was hearing was something special: house music.
Over the next decade, Mark set about experiencing the many more styles of electronic music the world had to offer from the high energy hedonism of early drum and bass right through to the ambient mellow sounds of pure chill-out. Music fascinated Mark and as soon as he was old enough to get away with it he started spending every night he could out and about in London and Brighton getting to know the local scene whilst gathering up knowledge and records everywhere he went. Despite submersing himself in many different styles of music, it was the sounds of his first love; that hypnotic house music, that kept on calling Mark back.
Once Mark had acquired his first set of third hand turntables and lovingly sellotaped together mixer, everything else in his life had to get in line, even his utterly disgusted girlfriend of the time. Mark made learning the trade his priority from then on, he spent every minute he could mixing and recording and distinctive sound soon gained popularity with his peers and before he knew it the bookings for house parties and the like started flooding in. Soon Mark was playing at a wide variety of venue in and around London and the South East and west of England.
Mark had his first big break in 2007 after reaching the finals of The Gallery DJ competition at the legendary Turnmills nightclub in London. Since then he has played at lots of big name venues including making regular appearances at the UK super brand Ministry of sound and Electronic session boat parties on the thames playing acts including: Judge Jules, Tall Paul, Simon Paterson, Matt Hardwick, Sean Tyas, Gareth Emery, M.I.K.E. (Push), Red Jerry, Seb Fontaine, Danny Rampling, Markus Schulz, Josh Gabriel, Mike Koglin, Solarstone, Way Out West, Sister Bliss, Scott Bradford, Ronski Speed, Greg Downey, Jon Rundell, John 00 Fleming,
Sean Tyas, Guiseppe Ottiavani., Yahel, Matt Darey
Mark describes the sound he plays as a fusion of deep, progressive, tech elements, spanning the whole spectrum of house, trance and techno. Heavily influenced by the early electronic sounds from his youth, bands such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Soft Cell, Kraftwerk and Tears For Fears have given much inspiration to Mark and this is reflected in his work. Starting production in 2005, 2010 sees Mark’s first release, New Dawn, on Recode Recordings. With more productions planned and gigs booked for 2010, watch this space…
RECREC016 Mark Myers – New Dawn
This is the debut release from Mark Myers and it’s an absolute monster.
New Dawn is chunky deep and atmospheric building progressive house.
With a throbbing bass line and emotional chords that will send any club into a frenzy.
You need this….

RECREC0015 Captain Johnson- Funkenhausen
This is the debut release from the very capable Captain Johnson.
If your fans of the type of music Jeff Mills, Grain and others to mention, then these tracks are definitely withinfor you.Funkenhausen is a Killer Dancefloor Techno Banger, with good clean prodution, hard and fast techno that takes you on a complete journey almost two tracks in one.
Negative Impulse is for those of you that like your electro breakbeat funk with synths that bounce all over the place. This a track definately against the grain in its structure and make for a very interesting piece of music.
A gem has been revealed, feel free to tell a friend and recommend to those that would be interested if this type of music.

RECREC0022 Emoutikon & Gio Ricca Redcession Remixed By Adeway
This is the long awaited follow to the Emou (Emoutikon & Gio Ricca). With an outstanding array of commissioned remixes the one that finally ticked all the boxes comes to you courtesy of Adeway whose last release was the exquisite Xaribian Dream. These two tracks were the underground scenes best kept secrets but not for long as we are very sure you’ll be hearing these tracks all summer.
RECREC0021 John Martin-Undecided / Phoenixx
This is an excellent debut by a stalwart of the Belfast scene having played at many a great night like Lush (Kelly?s) playing alongside the likes of Fanculli, Jon Carter and others he is still out there ripping it up with the locals and international guest that come to town.
Johns sound is very much a combination of his influences and experience from Djing. The tracks ”Undecided” is a driving and bumping up tempo deep house track with a haunting vocal over the top and having heard this drop on a sound system it seriously kicks.
Phoenixx takes you back to the ole days of house of Uk house along the lines of many a piano classic.
